What We Believe:

The Westminster Standards

The Westminster Standards were developed between 1643 - 1647 A.D. at Westminster Abbey in London, England during the English Civil War. They are a thoroughly biblical, theologically rich and robust, classic and concise exposition of the Christian faith. They are provided here in PDF form and are the amended versions that are used by the Free Presbyterian Church of North America.

The confession is a statement of the Christian faith in a chapter format and the catechisms are in a question and answer format designed for memorization. The Westminster Confession will be the best place to go for the most comprehensive yet still concise view of what we believe. The Westminster Shorter Catechism is the most condensed version of what we believe and it is one of the most accurate yet concise statements of the Christian faith ever penned by uninspired men. The Westminster Larger Catechism is best to be read after the other two.
